Shadow PC on Mac
Remote PC streaming needs a quiet Mac session too.
Shadow performance depends on the remote PC, the route to it, the Mac receiving side and anything that changes network behavior during the stream.
What to check first
- Compare Shadow's own ping with an external session diagnostic.
- Test Ethernet or a cleaner Wi-Fi channel before changing Shadow settings.
- Turn off VPN or use split tunneling for Shadow during testing.
- Watch jitter and packet loss when input feels inconsistent.
- Pause iCloud Drive, Dropbox, Photos, OneDrive and backup tools.
Where CloudBoost helps
CloudBoost watches the Mac side of the Shadow session: local pressure, Wi-Fi/AWDL behavior, VPN/tunnel routing, UDP availability, route latency and background traffic signals.
It cannot improve the remote PC hardware or Shadow's server load, but it can help prove whether the Mac receiving side looks clean.
