Remote play on Mac

Your Mac is the receiver. Keep that side quiet.

For PS Remote Play, Moonlight, Steam Link and remote PC sessions, the host matters, but the receiving Mac can still create jitter, display unevenness or local network noise.

Good first checks

  • Use Ethernet for the Mac or host when possible.
  • Keep both devices on the same clean local network for LAN streaming.
  • Disable VPN during local LAN tests unless split tunneling is configured.
  • Pause backup, sync and large downloads on both the Mac and host.
  • Check for Wi-Fi roaming, AWDL noise and weak 5 GHz/6 GHz signal.

Where CloudBoost helps

CloudBoost watches the Mac receiving side: route state, UDP availability, jitter, packet loss, AWDL/Wi-Fi behavior, local CPU pressure, thermal state and background traffic signals.
